StopSO is a charity offering specialist therapy primarily to perpetrators and those engaged in sexual harms, and those who have experienced inappropriate thoughts about children. We also offer therapy to survivors and family members affected.

With 180 highly trained therapists across the UK, we are clear in our mission to support anyone affected by CSA with skilled intervention. Desistence and prevention are key focuses for us, which is the main motivation to provide up to date training and specialist support for StopSO therapists, working in this challenging area.

Besides individual therapy, StopSO has also developed contractual work with organisations  who have responsibility for managing sexual offenders. This could be prisons, MOSOVO teams, Probation. Therapy is a valuable means by which to enable individuals, who have committed offences against children, of who have thoughts of so doing, to understand and better manage the underlying motivations for their bahaviour.

We have also recently devised a programme to train therapists to with therapeutically with those under 18 who represent sexual harms.
