Hope After Harm is a UK charity committed to empowering victim-survivors, families and young people affected by crime and the criminal justice system. Working with compassion at its core, the organisation partners with statutory, voluntary and private sectors to deliver trauma-informed, collaborative solutions to those affected by the criminal justice system and social exclusion.
Our Family Matters Team embodies these values in action. When police execute a warrant for online child sexual abuse offences, families are often left in shock, with nowhere to turn. With respect and without judgement, a dedicated caseworker steps in within 48 hours, providing emotional and practical support and guidance for as long as the family needs it. Delivered across six police force areas in England, the project champions inclusion - ensuring no family is left behind regardless of circumstance - and walks alongside people as they find the strength and resilience to face what comes next.
