Dr. Kate Richardson OBE is a safeguarding leader with more than 30 years’ experience working across social work, law enforcement, and international child protection. She is the Head of Safeguarding at the National Crime Agency, where she leads national and international responses to protect children and adults.

Her career has spanned frontline social work, major child protection investigations, and international advocacy. Alongside her practice, Kate has a PhD in safeguarding and access to justice for child victims of sexual abuse, and has advised governments, the United Nations, and NGOs worldwide.
