Emma has over 20 years’ experience of working with children & families, gaining a BA First Degree Honours in Social Work from The Anglia Ruskin University (2017) and a graduate diploma in in Psychodynamic Counselling from the University of Essex (2022). Manager, Deputy Manager and Social Work practitioner in Assessment and Long-Term Child Protection and Safeguarding. Specialist in the assessment of sexual harm and use of forensic risk assessment tools, including: AIM3, CASP-R (Ability to Protect), RSVP2 (Risk of Sexual Violence Protocol Version 2). Emma was a group and one to one facilitator for The Lucy Faithfull Foundation (online groups), for men convicted of, or under investigation for online harms, including sexual communication with children.
A Consultant Trainer and Practice Improvement Advisor, for the Centre of expertise on child sexual abuse (The CSA Centre), Emma is currently leading on the practice element of a family law project to understand and improve the response to child sexual abuse within the family courts.
